About iGrow Wealth

A short manifesto and an honest accounting.

iGrow Wealth is an independent personal-finance publication. We write about money the way a friend who happens to know the subject would talk about it: clearly, without jargon, without selling you on anything, and with the math attached.

What we cover

Retirement planning, investing, mortgages and home buying, taxes, debt repayment, and budgeting. The questions a normal household actually has — not the lifestyle of the ultra-wealthy or the latest market drama.

Our point of view

Who writes this

I'm an engineer with an MBA in finance. The topics on this site started as my own family's problem set: my wife and I are working to fund retirement, put two kids through college, and eventually buy ourselves the time and freedom to pursue the projects we'd choose rather than the ones that pay.

The articles here are the homework I've done to make those decisions — checked against real research, run through actual math, and written in the plain English I wish someone had used with me when I started. I'm not a financial advisor and I'm not selling you anything. I'm a person who got obsessed with personal finance because the stakes for my household are real, and I figured if I was going to do the work anyway, I might as well write it down.
